Back and lay, with real numbers
Exchanges show decimal odds. The odds times your stake is what comes back to you if you win, including the stake itself.

Laying is what makes an exchange different from a bookmaker: you can bet against a team, and you can close a position before the match ends. Back a team before the toss and lay it at shorter odds once it is on top, and you have locked in a result whatever happens next. Some exchanges take a small commission on net winnings in the match odds market — ask your executive for the rate on the exchange you pick.
Session betting in plain terms
Session markets are the reason many Indian players prefer an exchange ID. Before the first ball, the exchange might show “6 overs runs: No 48 / Yes 50”. Play Yes and you win if the batting side reaches 50 or more by the end of the sixth over. Play No and you win if they finish under 48. The gap between the two numbers is the exchange's margin — if the score lands on 48 or 49, both sides lose. The lines move after every ball, and they suspend for a moment when a wicket falls or a review is taken.
IPL betting with one ID
The IPL is when most people ask for a betting ID, and it is when support is busiest. Scams to walk away from
- —“Fixed match” or “sure-shot” tips. Nobody sells a guaranteed result. This is the most common scam in cricket betting, and the tipster is the only one who profits.
- —A deposit account that keeps changing. Your provider should send payment details from the same official number every time. A new account from an unknown number is a warning sign.
- —A withdrawal that never quite happens. “Deposit a little more to unlock it” is not how withdrawals work. Test one small withdrawal before you put in anything larger.
- —Requests for your OTP or UPI PIN. No genuine provider needs them. Sharing either hands over your bank account, not your betting ID.
